Weight Restrictions

Reminder: The pavement from Highway 5 to North Shore Fishing Lake as well as the roads within North Shore Fishing Lake have an 8t weight restriction. Any loads in excess of 8t will need hamlet board approval.

Just a reminder to farmers/truckers that the RM has designated roads for hauling primary weight. All other roads are restricted to secondary weight. The RM has authority to issue overweight permits at a cost of $100/yr or $25/day. The Kylemore Grid is a secondary weight road, not a primary weight road.

Snow Removal

Please do not push snow across the RM roads. This may cause liability issues that can then fall onto the individual responsible for pushing the snow.

When requesting snow removal from your driveway, call the office as far in advance as you’re able. The road crew cannot always get to your driveway on the same day, and public roads after a heavy snowfall take priority.
